Our platform is all about honest and instant communication all over the world without having to fear social penalties. This includes wonderful comments, honest critique, interesting questions - but also honest feedback that some might consider as mean.
All of that is part of Tellonym and should be. Sometimes, this honest feedback goes into wrong directions, that's why we made the following community rules.
Please follow those rules. If you write or answer Tells which aren't compliant with those rules, we may exclude you from Tellonym completely. Of course, your answers have to be compliant as well.
The Golden Rules
#1 Feedback should not have the intend to hurt somebody
Unfriendly or very critical feedback is allowed as long as the main purpose of the message isn't just to hurt the receiver. Write feedback which the receiver can use to improve, don't just insult them.
#2 Respect other people, do not insult them
Every human on this earth is unique and has opinions which may be different than yours. Feel free to discuss them and grow together, but do respect them. Insulting others is not tolerated on Tellonym.
#3 Threats and Self-harm
This is what instantly removes you from our services. We do not tolerate threats or encouragements of any kinds of self-harm.
#4 Sexual Harassment
Questions and discussions about sexuality are completely allowed on Tellonym. This shifts, as soon as the receiver of those messages indicates that he/she doesn't want to receive such messages. Furthermore, messages which suggest to do sexual acts are not allowed as well.
#5 Private Data
Please do not include phone numbers, private addresses or any other personal data into messages sent on Tellonym. We cannot verify if it is your own data and therefore would act as if it is not.
Please respect those rules.
The whole team hopes you have a great experience on Tellonym! Let us know on our Tellonym profile or via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions!
